Our Mission
Age Friendly Saco’s mission, “A Community for a Lifetime”, is to promote active aging by optimizing opportunities for health, engagement, and safety while removing barriers that prevent our citizens from remaining in their homes as they age. This will be accomplished through engagement with community organizations as well as collaboration with the City of Saco and the recruitment of community volunteers for the delivery of services that will empower residents to remain in and engaged in their community as they age.
Our Values
Age Friendly Saco’s vision is to make Saco, “A Community for a Lifetime” by using all the available resources and assets of our community to meet the needs of our citizens. Promoting, supporting and growing services already available to residents of our City. Identifying needed resources are that are not currently available. Finding and implementing no-cost or low-cost solutions. Engaging older adults in designing and carrying out our work.
Partnerships
Age Friendly Saco is very proud of our partnerships with Federal and State agencies, local businesses and over 144 volunteers that help us accomplish our work. Whether it be labor, money, or goods donated, Age Friendly Saco is so grateful for these relationships.
We also want to recognize our donors and clients that help us to maintain our programs and services.
