Sand Bucket Deliveries 2026

Age Friendly Saco is holding its annual Sand Bucket Delivery Day on Saturday, Nov 14 from 9:00 to 11:00am.

Existing Clients: If you received a sand bucket last year, we’ll call you in advance to confirm that you’d like a delivery this year.

New clients: Saco residents age 50+ who cannot pick up their own buckets are eligible. To request a delivery, call our office at 207-710-5029, Monday-Friday, between 10:00am to 4:00pm.

What’s Provided: Each fall, the City of Saco offers free 5-gallon buckets filled with a sand/salt mixture, available at Saco Public Works (15 Phillips Springs Road). On Age Friendly Saco’s Sand Bucket Day, we deliver buckets to older residents who need assistance. With help from volunteers, including Thornton Academy students, we deliver 100+ buckets each year.
